Topics covered will include: Facial aesthetic procedures, Legal and regulatory requirements, Premises and marketing & Indemnity requirements. Followed by a live demonstration.

• Define the legal and regulatory requirements for facial aesthetics (or not!)
• Explore clinical environments for providing facial aesthetics including marketing
• Identify the insurance requirements for the DHT to practice facial aesthetics safely

Speakers

Dr Joel Thomas

Joel graduated from Bristol University following which he worked as a general dentist in Worcestershire. During this period he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, gaining his MFDS post graduate qualification. Joel’s passion has always been in surgical dentistry. He therefore went on to gain two years experience as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Senior House Officer. He was later awarded a place on the Periodontal Specialist training (MClinDent) at Guy’s Hospital, London. During this four year course he also taught undergraduate students in the Periodontal department and worked as a Periodontist in multiple private practices around London.

Joel has published numerous articles and has presented his work at multiple national conferences.

Dr Timothy Eldridge

Since qualifying in Dentistry from Birmingham University, UK, Tim has gained a wealth of experience in multidisciplinary practices. Early in his career Tim learned from leading clinicians how to integrate and implement non-surgical cosmetic treatments into the dental practice.

Tim is a skilled and experienced aesthetic practitioner who has expertise in non-surgical treatments such as Wrinkle Reduction, HA dermal fillers, collagen stimulating fillers (Radiesse), thread vein removal and fat dissolving, with over 12 years experience in aesthetics.  Tim is a global aesthetics industry trainer for FILLMED’s range of dermal fillers, lectures on a range of independent dental and facial courses and has written articles for the dental press.
