Visiting many practices and helping teams over many years has provided me with a huge insight into the workings of a dental practice. I've seen conflict of some kind nearly everywhere I go and have learned how we can combat the conflict and replace it with positive mindsets. One thing is certain, there will always be conflicts for us to manage, and that won’t change, but we can change how we deal with them, understand how we can try to prevent them and go home much happier at the end of the working day.
During this session we will explore how our organisation structure within our practices can be improved through positive communication skills. We will look at how we can be more resilient to the pressure and stress of the challenges we face from patients, and sometimes our team.
We will discover our own reactions to difficult situations and how we communicate and how we want others to communicate with us in return.
We all have triggers and tolerances, and becoming more aware of them really does help us to work together and deliver an award-winning patient journey, and happy team.
We want the day to be a fun interactive session, as let’s face it, we’ve all experienced challenging situations, and together we can share, support, and help each other feel more confident dealing with conflict. Not only will you be able to return to your practices with some new skills but apply some coping strategies for your personal wellbeing.
Lisa has over 25 years’ experience managing practices and leading teams. Lisa has won multiple awards throughout her career and has been involved with ADAM (Association of Dental Administrators and Managers) since 2016, supporting hundreds of Practice Managers. Lisa still manages her practices in Crewe, Cheshire, but has now launched her consultancy firm Practice Management Matters and mentors and supports many teams throughout the UK. You will find Lisa speaking at many Dental Events and shows and her involvement with CQC, GDC initiatives and many other groups places her at the forefront of what is current in Dentistry. Lisa is also a Judge for many of the Dental Awards.
Lisa is relatable, realistic and practical in her delivery of training and provides fun, interactive sessions that are easily implemented.
